RACE TO WICH MOUNTAIN is being made!!
Okay, I might be dating myself here, but I was a huge fan of the Witch Mountain movies from Disney when I was a kid. My Mom would take us because She too liked them, and was I ever glad. Not only does this new one keep hold of the same storyline, but The Rock is in it! I’m going, that’s for sure.
So, does anyone else remember the movies form uhmm 30 years ago? LOL ANyone else think it loosk awesome?
I did a massive squee when I heard about the update. I love these movies. The first more than the second, but I still watched the second a hundred times.
I’ve heard Tia and Tony will have a cameo, too.
I loved those movies so much. I wanted to be Tia! I’m really going to date myself and say I had the movie record of that one. Remember those? You’d get a record with a book/pictures from the movie and you could listen to it? Yeah I had that, loved it…..
I heard about the remake from my dad–who had a few choice words on remakes of classic films in general, LOL. I adored the original ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN. My hope is those creating the new version do the original justice. 🙂
I don’t remember the earlier movies because I wasn’t born yet, but I have now seen the trailer for the new one three times. I love that The Rock is in it.
I remember Escape to Witch Mountain (much better than the 2nd), and thought the trailer for the new one looked great.

Karen, I remember those movie record books. lol Inever had a Witch Mountain one, but my favorite one was Black Beauty. LOL
Also, I could never make up my mind between wanting to be Tia, and thinking Tony was so cute. :inlove:
Catie, I agree. Escape to Witch Mountain was my Fave? Return to Witch Mountain was good too though. ANd it’ll be tough. We who loved those ones might think this one won’t match up at all, yet at the same time, the new one will bring in a whole new generation of fans I’ve no doubt.
Karin, they were great. it looks pretty similar. Int eh toriginal they were ina winbegow ith an older guy, this one they ‘re in a cab with The Rock, but it looks to be the same basic story. It’s going to be so good.

Loved Escape from Witch Mountain. This is the first I’ve heard of a remake. So exciting. I hope my kids love it as much as I did.
OMG I loved those movies – haven’t seen anything about the new one – can’t wait hope it’s as good.
