A few days ago I posted a little blurb on Courage. Shayner put this in the comment section…but I think it deserves to be more prominent. Just in case some of you miss it. 🙂
The R in Courage was for Really Living.
R….
Under an old brass paper weight, is my list of things to do today.
Go to the bank and the hardware store, put a new lock on the celler door.
I cross them off as I get em’ done, but when the sun is set.
Theres still more than a few things left I haven’t got to yet.
Go for a walk, say a little prayer, take a deep breath of mountain air.
Put on my glove, play some catch, Its time that I make time for that.
Wade the shore, cast a line, look up an old lost friend of mine.
Sit on the porch, and give my girl a kiss,
Start livin’, Thats the next thing on my list.
Wouldn’t change the course of fate, if cuttin’ the grass just had to wait.
Cause I’ve got more important things, like pushing my kid on a backyard swing.
I won’t break my back for a million bucks, I can’t take to my grave.
So why put off til’ tommorrow, what I could get done today.
Go for a walk, say a little prayer, take a deep breath of mountain air.
Put on my glove, play some catch, Its time that I make time for that.
Wade the shore, cast a line, look up an old lost friend of mine.
Sit on the porch, and give my girl a kiss
Start livin’, Thats the next thing on my list.
Raise a little hell, laugh til’ it hurts, put an extra five in the plate at church.
Call up my folks, just to chat, It’s time that I made time for that.
Stay up late, and over sleep, show her what she means to me.
Catch up on all the things I’ve always missed.
Just Start livin’, thats the next thing on my list.

This is from a Song by Toby Keith… it says alot to us all I think
Ok ok… I didn’t know it was a country song!! LOL But I do know who Toby Keith is…he’s yummy! 😛
 Love the way Country songs have a story to tell… was wondering where the kid on the swing came from. Shayne used to have a pic on his yahoo profile, looks like one of them older country gentlemen. (Hoyt Axton, not sure.)
Dianna….
that "older" country gentleman was ME and dammit I was only 31 at the time ~GRIN~
I try not to focus on what genre the music is, but rather what the message to me is
Shayne… I said you looked like one of the older country gentlemen, not that you were one! But Hey if the hat fits!
Shayne, at least she called you a gentleman! 😉
