Friday!

Yay, the weekend is almost here! :laugh:

I have a busy, busy weekend ahead of me so I won’t be posting until Monday probably. You see, I help my Mom out with her creative passion. She’s a glass artisan, and very shy about selling her work. Whereas I, am not shy about selling her beautiful stuff. She’s in a Trade Show/Craft fair this weekend in a small northern town here in Alberta. I’ll be making the 5 hour drive up there after work tonite….(I’m supposed to get off work at 10 instead of 3 a.m. ) so that I can be there with her this weekend.

I understand why she gets shy at things like this. I can’t imagine putting a story out there for every one to read, right there in front of me, and then wait to see if they buy it. I mean I know we do that with books on shelves and stuff, but I’m not standing right there while they read it. Seeing their facial expressions, or hearing the comments they make to the friend next to them. Open and in your face rejection like that can be very hard on a person…however, if we sell lots…it’s open and in your face acceptance..and Yahoooo!!!!
