I’m Back!

I’m Back!

And happy to say my kitty, Mystery, did not wreck the apartment while I was gone. The drive up was pretty uneventful. I saw lot’s of deer and a few coyotes, but they didn’t jump in front of my car so I was happy. πŸ™‚

The Trade Show itself was a bit of a disapointment. So many people said how beautiful my Mom’s stuff was, but not many people wanted to spend the money on the higher priced items. I’m not sure I’ve ever mentioned it on here before, but my Mom is a glass artisan. She does everything from traditional stained glass, to hand made glass eads and jewlery, to functional art bowls and plates. When I have a a way to show some pictures on my website, I’ll post some of her stuff….I’m so proud of her. πŸ˜€

It was so beautiful up there. I miss the mountains. The trees were changing, and the air was clean. Wildlife was out getting ready for the cold to come. On the drive home, it was still daylight when we left town, and I saw a wolf and a bear! Not together of course….they were about 30 miles apart….and ohh so wonderful to see.

I’m home now, back to writing and editing. And blogging.

Congratulations to Larissa for making the fianls of the Lori Foster Brava Contest with a fantastic entry! Gotta love a man in uniform! πŸ˜›

Is 43 the one to Fort McMurray? LOL I’m hopelss I just follow the signs. I was so happy, I’ve only seen a wolf in the wild once before…tons of bears when I lived in B.C though.
At first I thought it was a coyote, but when I got closer it was too big , and there was no mistaken it. I was shocked! My Mom was behind me in her truck and I called her. Did you see that wolf?" She was as excited as I was. And she’s seen wolves before so I know I was right in thinking that’s what it was. Big surprise though..you never see them near roads..at least to my knowledge.

:O I rememebered after I posted that I have seen bears in the corn patch next to the golf course a few years ago, and sometimes they leave a big something on the greens. :hehe:

  3. Oh, it sounds like a wonderful trip! I adore the mountains and wilderness. I grew up in the Pacific NW, so I always had the trees and mountains and lakes nearby, and I lived in Montana while I was in the Air Force, and the Rockies are just gorgeous! I miss it! πŸ™

    Glad you’re back, though! πŸ˜€
