Now that I have you all smiling in the face of a new week,;) I’ll fill you in on my weekend.
I got everything done this weekend that I had too, except the dishes. I did them in the dishwasher, but it leaves a soapy film on them so I still need to rinse them again. I didn’t get any writing done, but there’s tomorrow still for that.
What I did get to do was read two great stories. I think there are alot of talented writers out there, and while I often say I like something…I have to admit these two stories were both so good that I can’t say enough good things about them.
First wasCece’s erotic short story submission for the Amber Heat contest. It was HOT! Let me just say this woman knows how to write a steamy and arousing love scene. With a bit of tweaking, the emotional intensity will match the erotic sizzle, and it will be unbeatable. (which sucks cuz I entered the contest too. :doze: ) I know Cece loves to write her women’s fiction and chic lit syle novels, but I hope she continues to dabble in erotica while she pursues the others.
I also was lucky enough to read Vanessa’s Golden Heart entry FELICITY STRIPPED BARE. I’m not a judge for the GH so it’s ok for me to rave about it! :hehe: I tell you, this was one story that has it all, Vanessa’s sharp wit shines through in her h Felicity, who is a street smart beauty struggling to find her own niche in life. The H, Daniel, is a real man that could make any woman drool. Even the secondary characters shine through with life and vitality. As it stands this ms is unsold…but I have NO doubt it will sell..and I’ll be getting an autographed copy!
