Whoo Hooo!! Janice Wilson, you have just won a copy of Shara’s PRIMITIVE PASSION!
Are you a new ebook reader? IF you are, I know this one will convert you! I’ll pass your email on to Shara, I knwo she’s lurking around here somewhere, and she’ll get in touch with you!
Whilel i have peopel here…how many of you are actual eBook readers? What do you thinkof this formatt for books? I personally love it..it’s cheaper, the books stay on the shelves longer so when I get hooked on a series or author, her backlist is STILL easily available, and the stores never close!
What do you like/dislike about them?
Next contest up…the chance to win a Hardcover Spiral Journal for your own Secret Thoughts! 😉
In order to enter this draw you need to surf MY site until you can tell me what “I” fantasize about in the SHORT-SHORT THE GYM.
Have fun!!
Congrats Janice! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
i have just started reading ebooks.
what I like:
good stories
authors are very friendly and welcome your comments on thier books
If I,ve run out of reding material I can order it and it will download right then for me to read no having to go out and hunt it down or wait for the mail.
what I don’t like
miss the feel of book in my hand
have to buy a reader or something to take the book with me or to read in bed
new to this computer stuff so if I have to stop reading it takes me alot of scrolling to find where I left off.
I read ebooks all the time and I’m a moderator for a group called ebooklove, a ebook romance reader discussion group. The current topic is about the prices of ebooks. So here’s my honest opinion….when I first started reading them, I felt the prices were low enough to attract a lot of interest. With as many price increases as I’ve seen lately, I don’t consider them cheaper. IMHO, I think the epubs could have waited a little longer, established themselves better, captured more of the romance reader crowd and then put the price increase in place. I do like ebooks for the steamier content and the savings on storage space.
Congrats Janice on the win.
I have an e-book reader and I like it because of the cost being less than actual books and we have no book store around here(nearest one is 1 hr. away). We have the library but I like owning books also.
It is convenient when away from home.
I agree about the feel of a book in your hands. A friend of mine (Sylvia Day) has an eBook man…she downloads to it and takes it everywhere. I’m sure if you asked her on her message board she’d tel lyou all about them. http://www.sylviaday.com/forum
Has there been that bog of a price increase? I just got into eBooks a while ago.
I got into reading ebooks last year when I first sold to LSB. Since then I got a Palm, which holds a bunch of books at a time, and I keep that in my purse with me always.
My 6-year-old son and I were just listening to the rated-G parts of my books with Microsoft Reader’s audio function on the computer. That’s fun. Like having HAL as a narrator. Pronounces some of the words wrong though, and certainly needs to work on the inflection. 😉
