Jordan had a great post on her blog this morning with some interesting tidbits about herself, so I’m copying her. :hehe:
My name is Sasha White (sometimes), and I grew up all over Canada. I’ve travelled the world, by myself and with only a backpack. I’ve rode a horse, jumped from airplanes, climbed mountains and trekked in the Himalaya’s. I’ve climbed sand dunes in Africa, swam with Wild dolphins in the Indian Ocean, and sprained my ankle walking on the sidewalk. I read tarot cards, do numerology and Reiki. I’ve a black belt in Karate, a green belt in Jiu Jitsu, and a few years of boxing as well. I’ve worked as a private security specialist, a bartender, cook, waitress, chambermaid, and GAP salesgirl. And I’ve written a novel!!*g*
These were all things that are on my life “to do” list. Some of the things onthe list I haven’t done yet?
Sell a photograph I’ve taken. Speak another language fluently. Lose weight and keep it off. Have a dog of my own. Learn to play a musical instrument. Find a place I call home. I’m sure there are more, I just can;t think of them right now. LOL
What about you? What are the things that come to mind?
Ha! I used to work at the GAP! 😀
I have a dog I can give you…. :hehe:
Oh, I can see you giving GAP snotty customers hell. :hehe:
I think we’re opposites, Sasha. I used to be able to speak French fluently, I’ve kept my weight off for a year now (knocking on wood!), and I’ve played 3 different musical instruments. I definitely have a home I love.
BUT…I’ve never done a single thing on your "have done" list. Your life sounds so much more exciting than mine! 🙂
Evangeline~ If you lived in ALberta I’d ask which one. Wouldn’t it be funny if we worked together? :hehe:
Suzanne~ You love your dog, you don’t want to giev him to me. But I WOULD take him. 😀
Silma~ Me?? *angel*
Amy~ Maybe we could trade live for a few months?
Oh – where in Africa? Isn’t it a beautiful country? 🙂
Hey STeph, It is a beautiful country. I spen 6 months there., 5 in South africa, and one in Mozambique. 😀
I was only supposed to go to to South Africa for 2 months. but I liked it, so I styed a while. :hehe:
My have done list…had two beautiful children, married a huge pain in the ass but I love him anyways. Am involved deeply in my childrens lives with sports, school etc. Have finished writing my 1st MS novel length.
Things I haven’t done…own my own home, ride a horse (and stay on), get my degree in criminal justice (going to college in the fall), lose weight.
That’s a great list, Paula! Havign kids is HUGE accomplishment. AS is actually being involved with their lives. It should go without saying, but sadly, that’s not the case anymore, is it?
Good Luck with school! Keep us updated!
Was the first of my generation in my family to finish college–with honors.
Held a job for 20+ years.
Have adopted & loved a multitude of animals.
Play 3 instruments.
Had several paintings featured in a gallery.
Bought my own home.
Have finished several manuscripts.
And would LOVE to have done some of the things you’ve done, Sasha!
Funny how the things we DON’T accomplish seem to haunt us, isn’t it?
Ooh, I’ve always wanted to go to Africa. Why were you there? 🙂
"Funny how the things we DON’T accomplish seem to haunt us, isn’t it?"
To me, that’s why a list of the thigns we HAVE done is a great thing every now and then. 😉
Larissa~ I just wanted to go, so I did. :hehe: Call it a holiday I guess. Once there, I found a place that had great energy and was doign some great things within the community, so I stayed for as long as I could without having to buy a new plane ticvket home.
LOL – at the extended stay in Africa. My MIL went for 2 weeks to visit a cousin and met my FIL – she ended up staying a full year *g* Then she moved there after they married.
I’d LOVE to live there. Both times I went, we were in Tanzania…
I’d go back to Africa. It was amazing, and so where most of the people I met there.
