Mystery is being a Wild Cat today. She’s been wired for days and I think it has something to do with switching her cat food. When I first got her I gave her Whiskas, because it was cheap. Then I was told giving them that was like feeding her McDonalds every day. Not so healthy. And she was all hyper all the time, and bitey. Yes Bitey. Every time I tried to pet her she’d try to bite me. Not hard, she starts with kisses and licks that turned to nibbles and bites.
After I changed her food to IAMS (Indoor cat for hairball control) She calmed down a bit, and only annoyed me occasionally. Then last week I was broke, and I picked up WHISKAS again. Because I was being cheap.
Her behavior is back to the hyperactive way she was when I got her. It makes me wonder what’s in that food.
In other news….nothing really. Sorry life is boring at the moment. :satisfied:
You probably don’t want to know what’s in that food..
It’s like eating hotdogs three times a day every day…ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
Pow! Right in the kisser huh, Eve? :hehe:
I think overstimulated is a good way to describe her state right now.
You’re experiencing what most parents do after Halloween as their kids are bouncing off the walls from all the candy.
Are you *sure* Mystery didn’t get into some leftover Snickers or something? ;-P
OH! So that’s why Miss Muffet runs laps of the long hallway like a lunatic :hehe:
:O When we got our cat she was on Whiskas dry, very much expensive, we have a few barn cats and they were getting one of the cheapest dry cat foods, Mainstay, so we put Sassy on that tooo, she threw up less and looks great. The lady at the pet store said that there is sugar in Whiskas that and food colouring.
My Neely Shae used to do the biting thing – they get overstimulated. I kept a spray bottle full of water nearby and when she bit I squirted her in the face. She doesn’t bite anymore.
Yeah, right in the whiskered kisser – POW! This will, of course, not work on other overstimulated things. π
