BEFORE You read about the paramedics, adn my little question…lol take a run over to the Amber Quill Press Blog and read my post there for today. I need all the opinions I canget on that matter. π
Now, ONto my Personal post for today…
Let me ask you a question. Would it be wrong to hit on a paramedic or fireman in the middle of a semi emergency?
Okay, so I didn’t hit on him. Either of them, and there was more than one hot guy in the passle of paramedics and firemen who came to my apartment building tonight.
Ok, so I was sitting on my sofa going over the page proofs for SEX AS A WEAPON when my buzzer went off. I wasn’t expecting anyone so I flipped the chanel on my TV so I could see who was at the building entrance. I didn’t recognize the lady, so I didn’t bother to answer the door. But I kept waching, and I sort of wondered what was wrong, so I grabbed my keys and figured I’d go get my mail, and see what was going on. Turns out it was my downsairs neighbor’s brother and sister trying to egt into her apartment.
The lady who lives below me is 86 years old, and diabetic, and she hadn’t answered her phone or door, and we all worried something was wrong. Of course the new building caretaker hasn’t moved in yet, so there is no one in the building who has a key to get into her apartment. A run up a ladder, and over the balcony, a broken window and we’re in. LOL
So, Milly, the lady below me, was in a bit of a state. She was awake, but unable to move and very confused. I personally think the start of a diabetic coma or soemthing. Anyway we called the ambulance…and voila, some hot men in uniform arrived.
I wasn’t needed anymore so I went back to my apartment, and let them do their thing. However, I kept thinking …”If only I lived in one of my novels.” Because you know if I did, one of those hot guys would’ve knocked on my door afterwards under the guise of needing information or something…and a new hot and sexy adventure would’ve started.
I think I have a new story idea….
Well, after the lady left in the ambulance, I don’t see a problem in hitting on one of those hot EMTs. Oh yeah, no problem at all. :great:
Oh Sasha…if only we were like our heroines….
I”m not sure what I would’ve done, maybe a lot of eye contact and shy smiles. and ‘is there anything you need?’ with my finger trailing over the tops of my heaving bosoms….
Yes, I think you DO have a new story idea, lol. π
I would dearly love to be any one of my heroines. *sigh*
Sasha, how funny that you bring this up! I had to run down to the supermarket today – to restock the catfood – and found the local fire brigade holding a bit a of ‘do’. There was the exhibition of firemen rolling hoses (and no, not their hoses, LOL), the really hunky firefighter in charge of the farmyard animal playpen (where’s a young niece or nephew when you need one!), the two guys taking ‘tours’ of the fire truck and so many other things. OMG, can you say drooling woman? Yes, that was me. But did I have the courage to go over there and intro myself? β Lucky for me, one of the guys remembered me from my ‘research’ for One Foot Forward and came and said hello to me. Honestly, where had all my courage gone?
And I’m with Beth, I don’t see a problem hitting on a man in uniform afterwards!
Trust me, writing firefighter stories are definitely food for the soul
You NEED to write the firefighter/paramedic story and it NEEDS to be a full length novel *g* (short stories are over way too quickly LOL)

First, I agree with Erin, I want this into a long hot story ! Hey maybe you can even go over there and bring something and tell them thanks for helping your neigbor. And too you can ask to see them in work or ask them questions for a story. That way you’d get to look more, LOL.
Yes I saw your post on the AQP blog (I’m always late to those so I post and think no one goes the next day to check their blog there, LOL) so it was nice of you to still ask for imput. I don’t know if this will help, but this is what I wrote:
Sasha, I haven’t had the joy yet to get The Petshani, but from what I read, thats already a winner. I too never read much Sci-Fi but enjoyed yours! Maybe its best to go with what’s with you, starting with one to see if the story flows if not then the next one. But never cease to drop down notes from your thought you’ll want to add in to the other books. I feel the joy that comes out of your books and know you want to tell them. I know I want to read more of the Petehani cuz I’m gonna want to read more after I’m done with it! So I think its either good to go with a stand alone story or finish through with a series you started, or your readers like me will bug you more!
