Monday

It’s Monday, and finally time to get myself back on track. Time to focus on writing, and getting the stuff done, that I’ve been telling myself I’d get done for the last two months. Deadlines are closing in, and my motivation is kicking into gear.

Well, my writing motivation. I’m not doing so well int eh get healthy department. I just seem to have stopped caring about it, and of course theat means I’m really gaining weight. Part of me cares, part of me doesn’t. 😐

Trouble seems to be doing well. Watching the numbers for an author is not always a good thing. Mostly because the only numbers we can really watch are the online ones at places like Amazon and B&N, and they are such a small portion of actual sales. However, it’s something to watch. LOL I peek at them from time to time but I try very hard not to watch too much, cuz it can really drive a person crazy.

I watched a series on SPIKE TV yesterday, from start to finish (It was a marathon) the show was called THE KILL POINT. Anyone else see it? John Leguizamo (sp?) and Donnie Whalberg were in it, and it was about some ex-military guys who were a bit messed up from the wars they faught, robbing a bank. The robbery went bad and turned into a hostage situation. I really liked the whole thing because there was no clear “bad guys”. Sure they were robbing a bank, but what’s more sympathetic than a crew of messed up veterans?

Another movie I saw last week was THE LOOKOUT. It was great and I highly recommend it for those of you who like well written adn well acted movies. Josef Gordon-Levitt was the main character, (Chris Pratt) and some of you might remember him from the TV series 3rd Rock From The Sun. He did a fantastic job with this character. Another familiar face in the film would be Jeff Daniels, as his blind roommate. Again, it was about a bank robbery. There wasn’t a lot of action and such in this film, but it was very well done. Check out this link for more info.

What have you seen or read recently that you’d recommend?

  1. Jordan. I also enjoyed the Bourne Ultimatum. Stardust, I read your review of it, and was tempted, but I’m holding out for The Golden Compass. I really want to see that one when it comes out.

(I’ll probably rent Stardust when it hits video stores.) πŸ˜†
