Orlando Charges

Orlando Charges

So, if anyone reading this stayed at the Wyndham Orlando Resort during the week of the Romantic Times COnference, it would be a good idea to check your credit card bills right now. If there are no curious charges on it, still call your card company and check on it.

Because a reader sent me a heads up via email (THANK YOU DANNY) I checked mine and found $1,000 worth of extra charges. Theory is someone who works at the Wyndham was cloning cards. My credit card company was already suspicious of mine the ones on mine as after having that card for almost 20 years they know my habits well.

If you discover a problem, please also notify the Hotel, (I just called their main line and asked for whoever is in charge if billing and credit cards) so they can maybe connect the common denominator in who had access to all of our cards.

That’s awful – I can’t believe that happened, but in this day and age nothing should surprise me. Glad you caught it!

    I didn’t stay there – that’s a good thing I’m guessing

That’s awlful! I worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I’ve seen that happen before. What ever makes people think they can get away with stealing? It may take a while to find, but the checks and balances do eventully catch them. Be sure you contact the hotel as well as the credit card company. The hotel should compensate you for the inconvenience. The they can do is a a free night or weekend stay for the trouble they caused you.
I hope all turns out well for you. 🙂
