Self-editing.

Self-editing.

I’m taking a self-editing workshop. Not only do I need the grammar help, but I like to learn. Anyways, one of the notes in the class is about reading your work aloud, which I’ve heard many times before, and have even done. But this time it was mentioned that computers also do text to speech if you want to just listen. SO I thought hey, I want to try that. After figuring out how it works, I listened to the opening scene in one story, which worked good. But then I wanted to see if I could get that feature to work in Scrivener, so I flipped over to my current WIP, and tried it, It was on a page with just rough notes, but man it had me laughing…really.
Now I’m wondering if I’m the only one who burst out laughing when they listened to the computer read some of thier story.
Maybe it’s the scene, but it just made me laugh to hear the computer modulated voice say
“Damn she’s fine, he thought to himself. But fuck she pissed him off.
Hate to see her leave, but love to watch her walk away.”

Makes me very interested to hear it read a sex scene.
