There’s a little green monster that creeps over my shoulder every time I hear and author talk about how they see scenes play out in their mind when they’re writing, or how they hear voices in their heads. This sort of thing just doesn’t happen to me. I will admit that once I get really into a story the words tend to flow, almost like I’m channelling the character, but to get to that point is not an easy thing.
As much as I love being an author, I rarely look forward to sitting at the computer and writing. Which is why it’s so very important to remind myself of this quote every now and then…
