Hi all, well, I have some explaining to do, and I dearly hope you’ll be understanding.
It’s about Primal.
Primal was set to be the first full novel in my new Overwatch series. I was very excited about it because it’s not only is it the first time I’ve actually gone into something knowing I’m building a series, but it’s also my first real jump into indie publishing.
I did everything right. I got awesome cover art,(Thank you Syneca at Original Syn) booked promo and set up prep-orders everywhere. However, before I could get much of it written, things sort of went haywire in my personal life, and I’ve run right up to deadline to get Primal uploaded to Amazon.
Because Amazon requires authors upload their final book file ten days before the release date, or they will cancel the title completely, I had to get the final copy uploaded tonight. I did not make it. Primal is not ready for release tonight.
I had a choice to either upload something that wasn’t what I’d planned, and that I think would disappoint my readers, or push the release date. I chose to push the Amazon Release date to October 24.
Amazon has send out an email to those that have pre-ordered the novel from them to inform them of the new release date. (October 24) And remind them that there is always the option to cancel that pre-order.
I’m not sure how iTunes or B&N will handle it.
With that in mind, I want to remind everyone that All Romance eBooks also has the book up for pre-order, for the same price (99 cents) and it will be available there in Mobi, EPub and PDF formats on the original release date of October 14th.
