I finished FIRST BLOOD over the weekend, and have to say I enjoyed it. I’ve never been a huge Vampire Fan, but I’ve read other books by a couple of these ladies and I figured “why not?” . I wasn’t disappointed, these ladies all had very different takes on the legend and/or race of Vampires.
My favorite of the stoires was Meljean Brook’s “Thicker Than Blood”.
In this story we have not only have the reunited lovers story with a vampire twist, but a sub story with a missing child/teen. The story works very well, with Vampires, demons and more…and personally, the family torn apart angle also worked well for me. The story was short, but full of emotion and some steamy sex too!
You should defintiely check it out.
And to help with that, I’ll pick a random winner from the the comments and send them a copy of FIRST BLOOD to enjoy..
I, too, have never been a fan of vampire books. That is, until I read one of JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I appreciate your recommendation and will have to get this one. Thanks.
There have been a few vampire stories that I found interesting (my favorite being Bram Stoker’s DRACULA) and I’d love to read this one with the variety of interpretations on the vampire myth.
It looks really good. I like most vampire books, but have read one or two books by these authors but not many. I’ll have to check it out.
Sasha, you are always introducing me to new authors. I haven’t been disappointed in any of the books you have suggested. 😀
I love just about anything paranormal, so I love vampire stories, of course! I haven’t read the one you mentioned, though, so I guess I will have to check it out.

I haven’t read this collection yet, but that story sounds pretty unique!
I like vampire books. I just want them to be original and not cookie-cutter stories.
I’m kinda iffy on vampire books right now. For me it is a mood thing. I’m hoping to get into it soon as I have the first three of JR Ward’s series waiting for me to read. :batman:
I haven’t read anything with a vampire theme in quite some time. An anthology would be a good way to find the right author to get me interested again.
I read a lot of vamp stories and love Meljean’s series. Her story in First Blood was really good, she did get a lot of emotion in there for a short, and I liked these two characters a lot. No need to enter me in contest as I have it and reading the rest of the stories now.
I have come to love vampire books. LKH’s Anita Blake series got me hooked.
I love almost all paranormal books, but mostly I love the vampire ones. I’m addicted to Black Dagger Brotherhood series and this book does sound good.
I’ve been eyeing this one covetously and would love to win a copy. 🙂

I haven’t read any of these authors…but am looking forward to reading Meljean Brook, especially after reading her posts at DIK! lol
This is my favorite genre to read and what a lineup of good authors!
I just recieved my first book By Sasha White today at 1pm and I finished it by 3:30pm. Once I started reading there was no putting the book down. My first book was “Bound” I will be looking for more books to read. I got wrapped up in it fast. Thanks TL.
