Lazy Day…

Despite the fact that I slep in this morning, I can’t let myself have a lazy day today. I’m happy to say that not only do I have edits for THE DEVIL INSIDE to finish for LSB but I’ve agreed to do two more Erotica short stories for Amber Quill. One will be a futuristic and the other a ‘witchy paranormal’, both will be pure fun to write.:hehe: The acquiring editor has also agreed to look at a collection of eroticashort-shorts I have, so I need to polish them up as well. 😀

I’m very excited to have so much lined up. There’s hope that I may get out of the bar business after all! :laugh:

Gypsy Heart
Excerpt SETUP:
First Date. They’re on their way to the Fair, and Sabel is asking Gage about his job as an Environmental Investigator.

They reached the area surrounding Northlands Park, where Klondike Days was held every year, and parked in a lot only a block from the gates. Gage rolled down his window, and paid the parking attendant before pulling into a tight spot between a van and a compact car.

“Do you arrest them? Or do you call the police to do it?”

Gage climbed out of the truck without answering. Sable jumped out to meet him before he could open her door for her, and met him at the rear of the truck. She was eager to hear his answer and didn’t care to sit and pretend to be a lady waiting for her gentleman friend to open the door for her. It was enough to know that he would do it if she gave him the chance.

“Yes, we arrest them ourselves.” He grinned at her. “My department does the leg work, why would we deny ourselves the score? If we think there’s going to be a problem, we’ll have local authorities stand by, but it’s not usually a big scene.”

“Do you have a badge?” she asked with a grin.

“Yup.”

They were standing only inches apart and Sable could feel more heat radiating off him than anything the sun was putting out. Looking into his eyes, she trailed her fingertip across his chest teasingly. “Do you have handcuffs?”

His chest shook as he laughed softly. Shaking his head, he threw his arm around her shoulders and hugged her tight to his body.

“No, you naughty girl, I don’t have handcuffs.”

She laughed with him as they joined the steady stream of people walking down 118th Ave towards the park. Gage’s arm stayed slung across her shoulders, cradling her to his side. After a few steps he leaned his head down close and whispered in her ear, sending a shock of lust straight through her.

“I think I might invest in a pair just for you, though.”

Speechless at the mental image of herself naked, restrained, and at the mercy of this dynamic man, she looked straight ahead as they walked. After taking a moment to catch her breath, she glanced up and replied solemnly, “I think that’s a very good idea.”

    😎 cool on the Amber Quill requests…will they be released as Briefs. I am amased at how fast things happen in e-publishing, just over 3 months from submission to publication…where I have known authors to wait over a year after the book was excepted at that big HOUSE to be published. Oh and when do we get to see a blub on The Devil Inside at LSB? :hehe: :laugh: :hehe:

    Excerpts for TDI???? It’ll be a while for those. WIth GYPSY HEART being released on Monday, and SHIFT CHANGE (the erotica short in BL’s Sex int he office anthology) being released in stores is North AMerica on the 30th…it’ll be a while before I post any excerpts for TDI. But have no fear…..there will be some. 😉
