OK, a while ago I put a profile on an internet date site. I get a few responses. I chat a bit, I even meet someone for drinks occasionally. No one yet that interestes me. So last night’s sorta date was a guy from the internet. Seemed nice, looked good in pics. Why not?
I met up with him, he still even looked good in person. Black hair, hazel eyes, nice lean body. I was feeling a little like Whoo Hooo! Then we started to chat, and as the conversation wore on, I started to get a bit creeped out. I think the guy was a bit of a stalker type. The way he talked about his ex wife, and how he had that computer spyware onteh computer when they were together that recorded every keystroke so he could see what she’d been typing? It was a bti weird. It was enough of a vibe that when he asked where I worked I said, “I don’t think I want to tell you.”
When I left, I also made sure to drive in the opposite direction of where I live. LOL Nope, never talking to him again. :plain:
In other news . . . I forgot it was my brothers birthday today! So I’m going shopping this afternoon for a gift before I met the family for dinner. What the heck do you get a 38 year old single man for his birthday? He pretty much buys himself what he needs. He’s ahard worker and he knows how toreward himself. To bad I don’t have any single friends I think he’d like or I’d bring her to dinner as the present. 😛

It was weird. At first I was sitting across form him and thinking, "geez, he seems so nice….but a little off."
Needless to say, when the whole spyware and ex part of the conversation came up it all made sense. LOL :crazy:

Sorry about the creep. I went on one internet related date when I first moved to L.A. four years ago. He was very nice, but about ten years older than his pic with a really bad comb over and a stutter. I felt really bad for him, but he still didn’t get my number, lol.

Creepy indeed! You did the right thing. Take care.. It can work though! My man and I met on the net, but on a music fan list (so we already knew we had a lot in common) and we exchanged mail for nearly 4 months. as a result we knew each other really well when we met.
I think you handled that situation well (I’d have freaked) but don’t give up! I was about your age when I met Mark, (had sort of given up, after a painful divorce and time alone etc) and five years on couldn’t be happier. 🙂 I hope your ideal match comes soon.
