I’ve decided Tuesday is a hopeless night to do any writing. Well for five hours of it anyway. Why? It has a fantastic line up of t.v. shows!
Everythign is good about it except the 9 pm timeslot. There are too many good shows on at 9 pm. I end up taping SUPERNATURAL, (cuz I love it and don’t want ot miss a minute of it) and flipping chanels between NAVY NCIS and LAW & ORDER SVU.
Then at ten, another great new show called WANTED. I really enjoyed this one, except tonite I got a bit pissed off at the writers. Why is it they had to make the only female on this ‘elite team’ the one that had to run to the big boss and tattle on her boss’s way of doing things? Why is it the female they had to make unhappy with taking risk, or taking a shot at the bad guy? Grrr, I hate when they do that to supoosed females that have are suppose dto be elit or tough and smart. They always have to make them wimpy somehow.
Hmmph, I’d like to put those writers in a room with Lexy and see how they fare. *evil grin*
I’m not sure if I should admit this or not–but I never watch TV. I have no clue what’s on, not in the slightest. I don’t even watch the news–I rely on my dh to tell me the important stuff. I stopped watching news because I can’t handle things happending to children. I stopped watching TV because 1) it never really interested me, and 2) Star Trek: The Next Generation was cancelled. Sigh. I loved Captain Picard.
I’m boring. I’d just rather write and read. π
Bones! that was the other one on at 9 pm. Imissed it. BUT I think my mom taped it for me. π
Chey~ I never used to watch tv. IThis last few months is the first time in 15 years I’ve had cable, and not worked very night. So I’m going a bit nuts.
Um, Sasha… you aren’t going to get ten pages done? π
That makes me sad.
I like House. Mostly for the character of House, himself. The secondaries are ‘okay’ and the somewhat formulaic story structure gets old, fast.
As for WANTED, I don’t know if you watched the very first episode, but the lead guy (I can’t remember any of their names) was recruited to put together this elite team and it was his call to hand pick the members of his team, which he did, and I gather they’ed been working together for awhile. Then *his* boss just parachuted the female in from nowhere, no warning, nothing. It caused a lot of strife because of the whole pulling rank thing, plus, as the lead guy pointed out, he knew his guys, he trusted them with his life, etc. He didn’t know her, what her credentials were, etc. So they’ve been sussing that out over the next few episodes, but there’s still uneasiness there. So she in turn probably doesn’t feel like she owes her allegiance to lead guy, while this will only alienate the leader and reast of team against her more. Rising conflict and all that….
Jaq~ I did see the one where she was brought in, but that was it, I missed the first one. I hope she smartens up, for someone whose supposed to Navy Intelligence, and tough, she’s sorta whiny to me. Then again, the latino guy was kinda whiny in last nights episode too. LOL
Maybe I’m just hard edged?
I don’t watch tv that much. And when I do it’s usually the TLC or A&E or Discovery.
FX has the best shows on TV. I don’t watch much, but I NEVER miss an episode of "It’s always sunny in Philadelphia", ‘Nip/Tuck’, or the ‘Shield’. Love Lost too. Otherwise……TV is crap!
Os
I love Supernatural and NCIS, but I also love House and Bones, so I have a lot to watch on Tuesday nights also. And Sunday nights and Friday night – thankfully, Friday night’s shows that I watch are all on the same station one after another.
I like HOUSE, but Bones is too much like that other show. I watch too much TV, Oprah in the afternoon, some game shows and sit coms, and if I watch news I watch local news… I find the Global news to overwhelming, they make things far worse then they actually are.
