So, there’s a new show that just debuted. State of Affairs with Katherine Heigl. This act description of it.
A CIA officer plucked from the field to become the president’s daily briefer, assuming responsibility for targeting America’s most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job.
In all honesty, I wasn’t interested in it when I first saw it being promo’d. It looked like some sort of popcorny vehicle for the prefect pretty blond to be patriotic in. (And the still image to promote the show really doesn’t help). Yet, it was because of Katherine Heigl that I finally broke down and watched it. I like the movies she’s done, and I remember when she was on Grey’s Anatomy, that I really liked her.
Five minutes before the end of the pilot episode I was just ‘meh’ on the show. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. I wasn’t sure what kind of show it was going to be. I probably would;t watch another episode.
At the end, after those final five minutes…yeah, I want to see more. I’m still not 100% sold on it, but its for my attention for now.
Madam Secretary, however, has had my attention form day one. And I’m still enjoying it. Not sure why these political type shows are hooking me in. I think it’s all the CIA stuff. LOL L
