What do you want?

What do you want?

So last year, I striggled with blogging. I ended up taking time away, then I ended up deciding not to blog at all. But I missed it. I’ve had this blog for 5 years. I want to blog regularly, but I admit it. I’m stuck for things to blog about. I like to talk about writing, but I hate to be ALL WRITING. I don’t mind sharing parts of my personal life, but right now it’s pretty boring. I can show you tons of photos, some good, some not so much.

I can go on and on about manythings, but really, I want to know what YOU want to see here. What sort of posts would you like to see here in the next while?

  1. Wow, five years. That is impressive. I have only had mine for seven months now. I can only imagine five years. But I think that is great! I like peeking in to see what you have been up to, how your book journey is going, and just what’s going on.
But I can understand how if you write all the time, the last thing you might want to do is write some more here. You need to find what you want to offer us… as your “followers, reader, friends” whatever. It does not even have to do with books, lol!! I know I have not helped at all… but I just look at this blog as if this was my communication with people… friends that I want to share a cup of coffee with and chat for a while.
I hope you have a great day!!!

  2. I made a promise to myself, months ago, that I’d blog every day, rain or shine, even if it was only a paragraph. I treat it like some folks do their “morning pages” or their personal journal pages. I list things I have to do on particular days (for releases or live chats, for example) then beyond that, it’s whatever I want to talk about or show people. I might post a scene from a current WIP to let them know what’s coming. I might rant about not being in the mood to write. I whined today. A whole page of whine. I bought this little box of party chat questions, and when I’m really not chatty myself, I’ll post a question for them to answer. I take pics of mushrooms growing in the yard… Anything to fill up the space and get my fingers and my mind moving.

It’s not about readers, not really, although I love that they seem to connect with some of the themes, it’s about me connecting to me, and getting my mind greased to write.

Didn’t mean to talk so long. Heard from Brad?

  3. I will blog about whatever I feel like, but it’s not every day, or even every two or three days that I have things to say. So I’m looking for ideas because I do want to blog more regularly. Know what I mean?
